Rubber track is rubber and metal or fiber material composite of ring tape, with small grounding pressure, large traction, small vibration, low noise, good wet field passability, no damage to the road surface, fast driving speed, small quality and other characteristics, can partially replace tires and steel tracks for agricultural machinery, construction machinery and transport vehicles of the walking part. Rubber tracks expand the scope of use of tracked and wheeled mobile machinery, overcoming various unfavorable terrain constraints on mechanical operations. The Japanese Bridgestone Corporation was the first to successfully develop rubber tracks in 1968.
The development of rubber tracks in China began in the late 1980s, and has now formed mass production, with more than 20 production plants. In the 1990s, Zhejiang Linhai Jinlilong Shoes Co., Ltd. developed a ring rubber track steel cord cord jointless production process and applied for a patent, which laid the foundation for China’s rubber track industry to comprehensively improve product quality, reduce costs and expand production capacity. The quality of China’s rubber tracks is very small and the gap between foreign products and has a certain price advantage. This article introduces the varieties of rubber tracks, basic performance requirements, product design and production processes.
Variety and basic performance requirments
1. 1 Variety
( 1) According to the driving mode, the rubber track can be divided into wheel tooth type, wheel hole type and rubber tooth drive (coreless gold) type according to the drive mode. The wheel tooth rubber track has a drive hole, and the drive tooth on the drive wheel is inserted into the drive hole to make the track move. The wheel bore rubber track is equipped with metal transmission teeth, which are inserted into the holes on the pulley and mesh the transmission. Rubber-toothed rubber tracks use rubber bumps instead of metal transmissions, and the inner surface of the track is in contact with the surface of the drive wheels, friction transmission.
( 2) According to the use of rubber tracks according to the use can be divided into agricultural machinery rubber tracks, construction machinery rubber tracks, transport vehicle rubber tracks, snow sweeping vehicles rubber tracks and military vehicle rubber tracks.
1. 2 Basic performance requirements
The basic performance requirements of rubber tracks are traction, non-detachability, shock resistance and durability. The traction of rubber tracks is related to its tensile strength, shear strength, bandwidth, lateral rigidity, pitch and pattern block height, and is also affected by road surface conditions and loads.
Rubber track traction performance is better. Non-wheel failure depends mainly on the diameter of the drive wheel, the wheel arrangement and the length of the track guide. De-wheeling mostly occurs between the active wheel or tensioning wheel and the rotor, and the twist stiffness, lateral rigidity, longitudinal flexibility, pitch and flange height of the rubber track also have an important impact on the non-wheel-off.
Eliminating the vibration source is an effective way to reduce vibration and noise, and the vibration of the rubber track is related to the pitch, rotor configuration, center of gravity position, rubber performance and pattern block configuration. Durability is manifested by the ability of rubber tracks to withstand abrasion, cutting, puncture, cracking and chipping. At present, rubber tracks are still vulnerable parts, and the life of foreign advanced products is only about 10,000 km. In addition to the quality of transmission and traction parts, rubber material performance is an important factor affecting the durability of rubber tracks. Rubber material not only has good physical properties, dynamic properties and weather aging resistance, but also needs to have excellent adhesion properties, for some special purpose products, rubber materials should also have salt and alkali resistance, oil resistance, cold resistance and fire retardant and other functions.
